Community Garden

Alder Community Garden in North Vancouver is a sustainable and inclusive space brought to life through our expert landscaping, carpentry, and civil construction, designed to support community gardening and connection.

Landscaping for Alder Community Garden

Our team brought the vision of Alder Community Garden in North Vancouver to life by creating a vibrant, sustainable outdoor space for local residents. The landscaping scope included comprehensive soil preparation, bark mulch installation, and the implementation of a chainlink fence for security.

Additionally, we installed efficient irrigation systems, hydroseeded soil, and added a diverse planting package featuring shrubs and trees to enhance the natural beauty and biodiversity of the garden. These efforts transformed the garden into a thriving hub for community engagement and outdoor enjoyment.

Civil Construction Enhancements

From site hoarding and traffic control to pedestrian-friendly pathways, our civil construction work ensured Alder Community Garden’s infrastructure was both safe and accessible. We executed excavation, embankment fill, and subgrade preparation, complemented by durable asphalt pathways for smooth mobility.

To address environmental and structural needs, we installed a concrete block retaining wall and advanced drainage systems, ensuring the garden's longevity. These civil upgrades form the backbone of the community garden, providing a sturdy, reliable framework for its daily use.

Crafting the Heart of the Garden

To support the community's gardening efforts, we constructed 86 cedar planter beds, including four specifically designed for accessibility, as well as compost bins to encourage sustainable practices. Each planter bed was crafted with precision, ensuring functionality and durability for gardeners of all skill levels.

Our carpentry work also emphasized inclusivity, allowing individuals with varying abilities to enjoy the space. This custom carpentry has become a centerpiece of Alder Community Garden, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose among community members.
